Pending a positive outcome at an up and coming class 1 medical I’ll be signing up at Bristol Groundschool for the ATPL theory.

At present I have a laptop but would prefer to study the knowledge/questions on an iPad which gives me better freedom.

I plan on going for the 9.7” version which comes with either 32 or 128gb of storage.
iPad will primarily be used for the ATPLs so can anyone guide me on whether the 32gb verison is large enough for the BGS download?

Hi,

Largely enough. I use my 32gb to study during business trips and still have plenty of space available... I would say after download all classes it will take around 1-2gb.

Good luck! :)

Thanks for your response.

Reason I asked was that I’m sure I read somewhere that the download was roughly 30gb therefore rendering the 32gb iPad unsuitable. Maybe I was thinking about the windows/mac download which is ~20gb.

Bristol don’t specifically mention that certain iPads are unsuitable so mustn’t be a concern.

Good luck with your studies too.
