I wonder if anyone can advise. I am looking for a very lightweight solution to transferring Jet A1 from 1 bowser to another. Speed/filtration is not an issue. 12v is handy. Low weight is great.

Amazon offer various diesel transfer pumps which would be perfect if I knew they were OK for Jet A1 (grade ASTM D 1655) as well.

However, when I specifically search for Jet A1 pumps they are large and ungainly and no one offers a small one and frankly they are 10x the price.

Do you know, if a transfer pump/hose works for diesel and is brand new and uncontaminated, will it work for Jet A1?

Yes. Used similar types (link) to refill from drums to bladders to tanks. The pump pickup can be adapted to most any configuration. Ensure your grounding cable(s) are correct and install an inline filter with spin-on water-absorbing types the preferred method.

You are over thinking this: Jet A = Kerosene 1. Had you asked about kerosene they would have said yes. Non-aviation companies have a habit of shying away from anything associated with aircraft. The important issue is that the pump is made to handle fuel, more specifically diesel or kerosene. Pumps that are built to handle only gasoline may not work properly. Have used Fillrite equipment to pump 10s of 1000s of gallons of turbine fuel into Part 91 and Part 135 helicopters and airplanes. On the other hand, you can always use one of these:
