I've got a pdf version of Def Stan 05-123 Issue 1 (amended to AL64). I think that was the final standard before they raised it to issue 2. If you PM me an email address, I'll send it to you.

If it helps, I have my copy of Air Registration Board CAIP Leaflet AL/7-13 Iss.2, 1 Feb 1968. It's a basic overview compared to the APs, but is what MoD staff were examined against.

If you want the original Def Stan 05-123 you would probably be better off looking at EASA Parts 145 and M as thats what the Def Stan was derived from (and quite poorly too) The Def Stan had huge gaps in it.

My apologies! - I was thinking of 05-130 MAOS instead of DAOS regs...of which I find that I have volumes 0-6 up to October 2007. If you need them PM me your email address.

oshvis98, copy of Def Stan sent. In general terms you can find copies of current and expired Def Stans at D Stan's website here:

D Stan login (https://www.dstan.mod.uk/StanMIS/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fStanMIS%2f)

You have to create an account but it used to be straightforward and not limited to official users. While the site claims to have copies of expired standards, it isn't comprehensive by any means. Some Def Stans were missing even though called up in extant contracts. Not sure if its still the case but the account could also be used to access other MoD public access websites under the Defence Gateway label.

I am already a Gateway member, I try to keep my list of up to date DEF STANS in check,
Its usally when I have some old drawing from the 60s or 70s that quotes some old extant doc which isnt on their site?
We still have drawings quoting DEF STAN 03-24 for Chromic Anodise, even though the latest spec is some SAE document,

Does anyone have a copy of AP101A-001-1 Wirelocking ?
Can find this anywhere.

You need to come clean here. Are you by any chance involved in the Leicester City helicopter accident inquiry?

You know, you could just try an early night, a couple of sleeping pills and a cup of warm Ovaltine...

With those APs you won't need any sleeping pills, just a comfy bed.
