Rumour; EK are asking other airlines not to poach EK pilots.
(If this is infact not a rumour, can someone provide details please.)

In order to be a good rumour, the names of the Airlines asked needs to be listed.

How do you ‘ask’ other airlines not to poach your pilots? Surely such a request would be a waste of effort? It’s like asking your competitors not to steal your passengers

Maybe treating existing crew with a bit of respect would be a more wholesome idea? I know, I’ll get my coat

Going by the number of people leaving, I think we can say this one ain't true .

Or the airlines that are doing the poaching are gleefully not listening to EK's pleas. So the rumour is plausible.
