Aer Lingus announces four new Eurorpean routes

Aer Lingus today announced that it will commence four new routes
from 27 October linking Dublin with Prague, Vienna and Geneva, and
also serving Cork-Malaga.

These are in addition to the five new routes already launched this
year from Dublin to Malaga, Barcelona, Nice, Alicante and Faro.

All nine new routes launched in a ten-month period result from
more effective utilisation of existing aircraft and require no
additional aircraft or staff resources, the group said in a
statement today.

Aer Lingus also said that "improved efficiencies and lower costs
have translated directly into lower fares for customers".

Midweek prices each way, including all taxes, start at E99 for the
Dublin-Prague, the Dublin-Vienna, and the Cork-Malaga routes.
Fares on the Dublin-Geneva service start at E79 each way midweek

Commenting on the new routes, Aer Lingus chief executive Willie
Walsh said, "Lower costs mean lower prices for our customers. The
key is cost. We are committed to aggressively reducing our costs
on an ongoing basis. This is the only way to sustainable profits.
