The message about good hotels to land at made me think of the marvellous "seven star" hotel in Dubai...the "Burj Al Arab".. which has a sensational landing pad on its top floor at 1,000 feet high.
Trouble is no one can land there because the local Authority has not cleared it. (In fact you have to avoid flying anywhere near the hotel quite rightly since last Sept 11).
Where in the world is it acceptable to land on these rooftop pads?
It would seem that most are just positioned on the rooftop in case of a "Towering Inferno" scenario.
Is this right. Maybe our American friends can enlighten us as they are everywhere there.
