Flight helmet shipping

Hi, guys, I wonder if someone can help me here. I want to buy a flight helmet from the US. Unfortunately, military flight helmets are in controlled category and require a license for export. So the normal post forwarders don't want to deal with the helmets, even the civilian conversions. I wonder if anyone managed to get a flight helmet from the US to New Zealand?

What type of Helmet are you after? You can also purchase from Aus.

HGU-53/5/84/p. They are 3 times more expensive from Aus, this is why I am trying to find a way to buy it from the US :)

Air NZ isn't all that expensive to take a quick jaunt to LA.

Use this service from Australia Post to get it delivered domestically in the USA, then the parcel is forwarded to Australia

Yeah, already considered going there myself - would've been cheaper than buying domestically anyway :D
Thanks for the shopmate suggestion - they have their limitations, which includes no military equipment.
