View Full Version : Anyone who flies to Sao Tomé?

I am trying to find out if the two former Biafran airlift Constellations still linger near the airport in Sao Tomé? They were both parked next to a restaurant south of the airport up until a couple of years ago, Most recent Google maps are not good at determining the facts, so if anyone here flies into Sao Tomé and know the answer that would be appreciated.

I saw them about a month or two ago so yes they are still there

Interesting, there were a couple of Super Constellations at Faro, until about 1980, they had been involved in Biafra, ran out of money and fuel.. They had a tidy up and one became an Airfield Bar (short lived) the other was scrapped. There was also a DC3 out near the thresh hold, that was scrapped too.
What caught my eye was the Sao Tomé bit. I made a bunch of 'artistic' light fixtures for a new hotel there. The hotel was quite up market, unlike the rest of the Island. Bizzar.
