According to this source, the airline are “considering shutting down”.

Very sad if true. What on Earth is going on!

I have to say that this doesn't come as a huge shock, if anyone has been following this airline since it's conception they would have realised along time ago that this was inevitable.

Air Belgium is filing for judicial reorganisation, and scheduled flights will cease in 2 weeks time. Not a good sign.

I was thinking the same when I just re-read my post from five years ago. To be honest, five years after making that post I'm surprised the airline has even lasted this long.

Loss making scheduled pax operation stopping, profitable ACMI and freight continuing.

the main question will be if the lenders are willing to back AB up to proceed with ACMI/Cargo or if they take the losses and sell the assets?

In that case what will happen to the wet lease to BA's ORD service?
