Ask Danny. He flew the darn things, so if anyone would know it would be him.

no dook, it took me 6 yrs to collect all the correct technical drawings to get the correct side view, THE only one out there, that cost me a small fortune, RJC then finished it of for me for a magazine article, i have just spent 1 week carrying on from where i left off, anyone can throw a profile together just look at lots of magazines, but to get them right takes a lot longer.

which Danny Herod ?

You need Danny42C who flew them in India. Go to Military Forum and click on Gaining an RAF Pilots Brevet in WW11. He virtually owns the site at present!!

As it may well be that I am the last man alive to have flown the Vultee Vengeance operationally with the RAF in Burma

sagindragin (#1),

Spent a lot of time on them in India/Burma in WWII. See "Military Aviation" Forum > "Gaining a R.A.F. Pilot's Brevet in WWII" > Page 114 #2262 et seq. The nearest thing to a "Bible" of the Vultee Vengeance is Peter C. Smith's "Vengeance!" published 1986 by Airlife Publishing Ltd. (ISBN 0 906393 65 5).

I believe copies are still available, check with the Brazilian River - should not cost much.

I'll tell you as much as I can remember, if you ask (on "Pilot's Brevet, please) !
