Hopefully he(?) will post on social media enabling police / CASA to go after them

I wonder if it would be possible for rescue (and?) aircraft to be fitted with short-range jammers/disrupters to diminish the chance of this sort of thing happening in the future?

A nose mounted machine gun would be better.

A nose mounted machine gun would be better.
CASA would find a way to have a WoS system to prevent the gun being fired while on the ground.
So you would not be able to get airborne because of the drone in in the vicinity and the gun, for which you have paid megabucks, cannot be fired whilst on the ground
