Cathay Pacific sends aircraft back to the paint shop

Cathay Pacific had to send a plane "back to the shop" after an embarrassing typo was printed on its fuselage.

Travellers spotted the mistake at Hong Kong International Airport and photos were posted to an aviation discussion board on Facebook.

The images showed the plane was branded "Cathay Paciic” without the “f”

Nothing was ‘printed’ on the fuselage, painted is the word your looking for. Printers are very sophisticated these days but not so that they can run an aeroplane through their mechanism.

This might be embarrassing but it may well just be an error that is due to the mask used.

I've always known that Cathay couldn't give an "F"
