Has anybody had hours as PIC hours under Australian CAR 206 (1) (low capacity RPT) recognised as equivalent to FAR Part 135 for the purpose of credit toward the 1,000 required for PIC under Part 121?

Unfortunately, the FARs are pretty explicit and do not allow for any foreign equivalency.

Yep for it to count it had to be flown under an FAA certificate.

youll fly 1000 hours at most regionals in a year and upgrade by 18 months.

to be honest you want at least 6-12 months as an FO anyway to learn all the differences of flying in the USA.

Yep, and some winter experience if you've not been exposed to much of it before.
