I'm after any background information if anyone can share please ? Star Air are a start up company based in Bangaluru, with ERJ145's.
Their CEO is/was CP of Ghodawat Aviation, a Heli charter company, and yes I have asked the same question in the Rotor Heads forum, but no response.
Ghodowat are a large multi-organisation, so Star Air should have considerable backing, but I would be interested to know what sort of organisation they might be, honest/unscrupulous, professional/like to cut corners etc., to try and get an idea of what I might expect life to be like with Star Air, and working under their new CEO ?
I am under no illusions that regional flying in India will be hard work (I've had some previous very helpful responses about flying and life in India in general), but they offer a commuting roster, and I would see it as an opportunity to be in that part of the world for a year or two (I believe the DGCA has recently extended FATA to the end of 2020).
They seem to be getting quite interested in me, so any offerings gratefully received ! Many thanks. L8

Hey buddy,
Jusf saw your post. Not sure if you've got you're information alfeady, but Ghodawat Aviation has been operational as a Non scheduled charter company with couple of helicopters in their fleet providing regional services.
From what I've heard and read in the recent past, they've only recently ventured into the airline world and I think are already operational as they were scheduled to start this year. I'm pretty sure they do have great backing being the multinational company that they are and I think it'll be a great opportunity for you to beba part in laying the foundation for them.
I wish you all the best man! See you in the Indian skies soon! :)

Many thanks for your post kiitos, the only contact I've received so far. As far as I know they currently have two airframes, but it's doesn't look like they are operational yet, from what I see on their website anyway.

If you get to hear anything further on the grapevine in India, please feel free to post publicly or PM as you prefer. Thank you for your welcoming thoughts, appreciated, and fingers crossed, see you up there !
