Hi,
Flying through Abu Dhabi last week i noticed a LAN787 covered in dust and mothballed (windows/engines/undercarriage all sealed up).
What's the go with this bird???

I did a search on the forums and web but couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance

Probably because of the Rolls-Royce engine issues. There are many shipsets out of service at the moment.

Don't know why it's there, but it's been there for at least a year I think.

That would be CC-BBC, stored since 21st May, awaiting engine replacement like many other LATAM 787s.

I think it's a Royal Flight or Emiri Flight airplane (whatever they call it). Bought with full airline interior, and planned for a VVIP makeover. Perhaps that has been set back.
