Hi,
I'm about to start the helicopter CPL theory in the UK.
I'm looking at either Bristol Ground School (BGS) and CAPTONLINE.
Any contemporary opinions/comments/advice about their course and material?

No contest - CAPT are helicopter specialists, Bristol are not.

Studied with them both (CPL with Phil at CAPT and ATPL(H) with Alex at Bristol) and both excellent courses; can't recommend either enough.
