I have RA and have had for almost a decade. In the last year it has got worse, I have been on prescribed drugs, but I feel I would like to try this stuff.
Does anyone know where can it be obtained, apparently the stuff that is available on the high street is so diluted it is ineffectual.

My understanding is you have to get a consultant to agree it is an outstanding case. His NHS Trust then applies to the Home Office. However, those sensible civil servants have decided that the NHS Trust (part of government) has to pay a hefty fee to the Home Office (another part of government) to make the application. The NHS being strapped for cash, it will refuse to pay.

It seems once again the politicians have said one thing but the reality is another

Of course you can buy it legally in many other countries who accept it has a number of medical uses and is not going to rot your brain. but you cant import it..........

This might amuse you:

This might be of some help:

Britain, being an impoverished little backwater, is not as up to speed with cannabis as Germany where many in the medical profession speak perfectly good English.
So here's a thought for you:

And here's where you might be able to enjoy a weekend and experiment a little with the good stuff.

Or of course, you could always take two Ibuprofen and come back on Monday if you're not feeling spiffing by then.

The position as I see it is this:

The word "cannabis" spooks the authorities.

It appears to benefit some patients.

At this present time, the evidence for it's use seems a little ambiguous. No evidence of effect, but, at the same time, no evidence of no effect. Stuff is emerging from the FDA I believe.

It would appear that you can purchase sub therapeutic doses on the high street.

The MHRA have pounced on this, and have made it a "medicine" with all the restrictions that brings.

The MHRA have realised that some people appear to benefit, so have recently rescinded a little.

I think, the bottom line is, at this point, we need more evidence.

I rather thought, in my medically misinformed way, that there was plenty of evidence internationally as to the therapeutic benefits of cannabis oil and indeed the weed itself.
Britain may be a small island but that, either within or without the present context, is no excuse for insularity.

Seems to work on some cases of epilepsy.
