Dear Colleagues,

I will apply for a chinese company and I would like to know if for the medical having tatoos on the body is an issue? Nothing can be seen when I wear an uniform.

Thank you for your feedbacks.

I reckon that's usually not a problem, it's any scars from operations they're more interested in.

I recently did the CAAC medical in Shanghai, I think 4 out of 6 of us had tattoos, nobody took any notice.

Scars and the reason for them being there, as mentioned above, were looked at carefully.

Cheers

As mentioned by others above, where I am a huge amount of the expats have tattoos and never heard any have an issue.

Sure if you have something like Clooney from Dusk till Dawn then they might say something but the average tattoo is no problem.

Cheers

Nothing to worry about, at least in China and Vietnam... ;-)

In Japan, tattoos suggest membership in the Yakuza (local mafia) which might be useful if the doctor was considering failing you.
