remote Alaskan volcano is showing signs that it is about to explode in an eruption that could cause air travel chaos,

Cleveland Volcano, a 5,676-foot (1,730-meter) peak on a remote island in the Bering Sea, has been producing lava since Monday.

The magma flow is a sign of something more serious to come in the next days or possibly weeks, according to the Alaska Volcano Observatory.

The observatory has raised Cleveland's alert code to 'orange', one level below the 'red' status indicating an ongoing and major eruption that could affect aviation.

Add these perfectly natural events into the mix with the, always unexpected, but highly predictable, effects off a few seasonal typhoons and we have a recipe for disastrous interim results in early August, even though the fuel hedging effect is now significantly reduced.
