But I thought Tim said that 170 cadets had it covered? Why waste money doing road shows?

Is everyone still doing an exit interview ?

I replied to their request for an in-person exit interview the same way most of my emails were replied to... I pretended I didn't see it and just didn't turn up :E (this was for CC)

Do they also ask you to fill out online exit survey? 2000 character limit which was piss poor so i created mine as a PDF and added it as an attachment with some other document they wanted...

i wonder if they are still bothering?

It has always seemed to me that the exit interviews are a tick the box exercise but nothing ever gets done with the information that comes in. I'm pretty sure everybody that leaves mentions the same things but nothing ever gets done about it.

I believe they still bother but I don't know why.

I never had one. I did get slightly overpaid on my final cheque though :-).

How long ago was that? Did they harass you about it?

Well considering they sent it while I had a block of 5 days off before XXV (arranged via swaps that by some miracle WORKED) the expectation that I'd even be in Dubai was a bit optimistic even for them ;)

It was actually worded that it was in response to my online exit survey. I guess they didn't like the few dozen bullet point lashing I gave on all of the aspects that make EK so intolerable....

Before I get belted by the usual suspects, I made sure to mention what they do right (admittedly a short section) but the majority of it would not have been easy to read if they cared what we think (or actually read it)

I suspect either a software filter is used that flags up certain words, or its an automated reply. Although I did ask several others leaving at the time and none git that email.

Cynics might say they wanted to see me so they could sweeten the deal for me to stay, but frankly barn, door, horse.

Neigh! :E

As for harassing, I stopped checking my emails once I turned in my ID, except to skim for the repat cargo & ticket email. So maybe they did.

Ground staff made up for it later though. Absolute worst airport experience of my life (bar one who stick his neck out to help resolve my situation) so I'm no longer surprised some of the pax act the way they do during boarding.

Anyway, back to the thread, happy to answer anything else you want to know. PM if you prefer

About six months after I left I received an email from payroll telling me that they had re-run the numbers on my vacation days and that I owed them 4000 dirhams. I promptly emailed back and said that I had also re-run the numbers (which I hadn't) and that I found they owed me 6000 dirhams. No response.

i received a nearly identical email from some guy in accounting. I wonder if it’s a scam. I ignored the request and never heard anything more.

Got a similar email, my response was a video of me burning a paper IOU note of the requested amount.
I finished it with “Please provide your contact telephone number and physical address to allow me to return the ashes”

Never heard another word, and I’m in and out of the UAE fairly regularly.
