Anyone out there know anything about/reasons why a TUI B flight from OST to the Balearics returned to BRU Zaventem in the past day or so:O? (Methinks maybe, possibly, could have been as far as I know, probably yesterday.

My bet would be that a technical issue developed which required attention. The flight probably could have continued to destination but then become AOG off base. Solution: divert to their technical base in Brussels where the aircraft can get immediate attention. Furthermore, since they may well have a spare aircraft and standby crew available at their main base, this would reduce any further delays to a minimum.

No, as far as I am aware, it was a paperwork/licensing matter of some sort.

Well in that case, it still made sense to return to Brussels where their base (and possibly the necessary paperwork) is and was!
