Guys and Gals

Need some help please, my son is doing his masters at the moment and his disitation is on birdstrikes to engines and aircraft. Anyone from around the world point to any interesting articles / experiments / results he can look at that are not obviously around
?

The US Department of Agriculture has a large amount of material. Just Google USDA bird strike reports.

Don't forget the old urban myth about shooting chickens from an airgun into the engine, and the worker used one straight from the freezer instead of defrosting it.

Canucks are well experienced with the issues, he’s probably aware of this document, but if not, I’d suggest essential reading.

i did an extensive study for an airline about twelve years ago, happy for you/him to pm with/for contact details
