It seems E3 Visas aren't just for Regional's now with this flight school advertising on AFAP

FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS: USA Flight School

IASCO urgently requires Flight Instructors for its USA Flight School, based in Redding, California.

IASCO is an internationally recognized Flight Training School. This is a great opportunity to rapidly build hours and then transfer to a USA Regional Jet operator. IASCO will assist with an E3 Visa and FAA licensing.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must have logged a minimum of 250 hours of total flight time.
Current Medical Certificate.
Must hold Multi Engine, Instrument and Instructor Certificates.
Eligible to obtain an E3 visa (IASCO will assist)

EXCELLENT COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Instructors are paid CA minimum wage while in standardization training, which typically takes 2 weeks
Starting salary pay scale after completion of proficiency check;

CFI $44,000 USD
CFI/CFII $45,500 USD
CFI/CFII/MEI $47,000 USD

$1500 USD new hire bonus after completion of training and proficiency check
Medical, Dental and Vision benefits after 60 days of full time employment
Paid vacation and sick leave
90 days free housing in our very nice, fully furnished apartments or $1500 USD relocation allowance
Because of our location, over 325 VFR days to build flight time
We can assist our instructors in acquiring additional ratings
Uniforms, sectional charts, Jeppesen Charts, checklists and reference books provided



Things much be getting desperate over there - might be a good opportunity for a new guy just out of training wanting to see America.

Already a growing shortage of Instructors here if more schools offer this and people take it - i see an instructor shortage crisis

OK...a bit more digging and found this IASCO ad with more details. Still a way to get in the door with less than 1500 hours:

"Notice: If you are an Australian National with an Aussie CFII, or MEI certificate,
you may be eligible for the US E3 Visa program."

Folks,
If you are young and not tied down, or just not tied down, go for it!!
It will open up career opportunities for those on the bottom end of the food chain here, or those passed over here for airline jobs, that you never imagined.

I've seen people from 60 to 65 years of age that are built like a horse, still working on building sites with a jack hammer,
can still outperform any person in their 20's, 30's, 40's in term of physical agility and strength.

I've also seen a 70 year old man doing 100 kg bench press in the gym, stronger than anyone in their 20's or 30's.

Not sure which age level you're at, but if the health is there and the drive, you can be an instructor and go to U.S.

Recommend to get to gde 2 instructor level prior to applying.

Don't forget last weekend a man at 104 years of age, travelled to Switzerland to volunteer for euthanasia, there was nothing
wrong with him.

This will be the first of many of the bigger flight training organisations to offer the E3, Part 135 operators will be the next to go down the E3 route - much easier than H-1B.

Just like the regionals, the US will be two steps ahead of Australian operators, with HR being the ever-present, self-important, PITA.

Wow, what I would have given for an AU$60K job when I had 250 hrs. I had to sweep hangars and wash aeroplanes for free in return for the odd couple of hour per week in a Cessna, then I would go and serve beers and clean toilets at night just to pay the rent. I guess there must finally be an actual pilot shortage.

Hang on...... So you need multi instrument instruction approval......

How many people have that and are not far off 1500h. Surely if someone in Aus has that training approval then they are very close to 1500h.... So why apply for this?
