Reports are appearing on TV that there was a ground collision at Jackson's (Port Moresby) airport between a parked Air Niugini B737 and a cargo operated civil C-130 or Lockheed L-382. Apparently the B737 has been damaged.

Someone else made reference to a winglet being damaged on the 737 on the PNG thread.

If there is congestion on the cargo ramp now, just wait until November when APEC comes to town.

Lyndon have one there. But that's not to say it couldn't be different one; I wasn't there so wouldn't know.

PNG media reports state that the civil C-130, Lockheed 383 was operated by Lynden Air Cargo.

The Herc involved is definitely the Lyndon aircraft; it buried it's port wingtip, it looks to be very close to the end capping of the wing(sorry I haven't flown a Herc to describe it accurately) into the starboard winglet of the 737, from behind, up to the winglets forward spar(again I haven't flown a 737 to describe it correctly) from what I'm told.

Rumored to be a 2 week fix.
