I've just been told by an active airline pilot that FFS Level D hours do count towards Total Time if it's part of a Type Rating course.
Before I make any silly mistake could anybody direct me as to where to find a confirmation for this? I can't seem to find anything in EU FCL about this.

FCL.035 Crediting of flight time and theoretical knowledge
(a) Crediting of flight time
(1) Unless otherwise specified in this Part, flight time to be credited for a licence, rating or certificate shall have been flown in the same category of aircraft for which the licence, rating or certificate is sought.
(2) PIC or under instruction.
(i) An applicant for a licence, rating or certificate shall be credited in full with all solo, dual instruction or PIC flight time towards the total flight time required for the licence, rating or certificate.

and further it includes sim time under the definition of flight training. That’s the closest I can put my hands on immediately.

you can include the time for ATPL issue up to 100 hours I think.

But don't included it for total time for anything else. If you do you will have to strip it out for CV purposes.

Similarly to PIC time you can add amounts in for license issue PICUS and there is another one. But once your past all that stuff people are only interested in true PIC time.

Your better to keep all the different types of logging separate then add then together if declaring hours. If you add them together at the beginning your going to have to go back and split them apart again at a later date. Which will make a mess of your paper log book.

Your best to run a paper and electronic up until you get your ATPL after that its personal choice.

Thanks.
I currently have both logbooks but my intention is to have the electronic logbook as my main logbook. I would ignore the paper one if I could.

So also PICUS can be counted only for licence issue but not for other purposes (CV, job applications, etc)?
