Fulham owner Shahid Khan has made an offer, thought to be worth 900m, to buy Wembley Stadium from the Football Association.

It is understood Khan would pay 600m for the stadium and the FA will continue to run the Club Wembley hospitality business, valued at 300m.

Interesting deal - if it comes off then Fulham could move to Wembley and that would leave a redevelopment site (more luxury apartments?) on the banks of the Thames in one of the most desirable parts of London. Khan could even make a profit out of this..:ok:

Seems to be more about getting an American Football venue than moving Fulham there. With a bit of luck it would end the practice of holding FA Cup semifinals there.

If it avoids the rip-off charges that the FA employ, then I'm all for it.

Not much use for a team unable to buy their way out of the Championship so far
