Already been spotted..:ok:, I should have used a more informative title....I only heard about it because it was lead item at lunchtime on one of the French TV news channels, before Syria and who’s en greve today ( FWIW the answer to that is AF...then it ‘s trains again tomorrow night for 48 hours)

Once upon a time in a far-off (European) land, a four-ship was being led by a young thruster bent on attaining combat ready status on his first FJ squadron. Aim: lead your formation through an alerted Hawk battery, two bounces and poor weather to do a practice attack on a microwave relay and then deliver a timed, FRA practice (smoke/flash) bomb onto the range at N***horn.
Hawk site went well, bounce was fought off and all was going swimmingly until the microwave relay. Here, a tad of a swx pigs meant that No 2 got perfect film of the leader's DH on the base of the tower, with a huge cloud of orange smoke!
Much consternation ensued but good egg at command suggested that the bomb had "been lost somewhere over the NG plain". Never was reported and JP got his CR status and bought much Warsteiner.
