Havick... yep. It is not worth it. if you are young, single and feel like a stallion every morning go for it. if you have a family forget it go somewhere else. ex. your kids go to an American system international school. you need a deposit of usd 64K (500000 hkg dollar) which is refundable for the duration of the stay of child at school, PLUS usd 3K per year membership fee PLUS USD 22K Kindergarten upto grade 5 PER YEAR per Kid.(Tuition fee) Grade 6 to grade 8 is Usd 24K (tuition fee) per year. what every they offer in the roadshow..not even going to cover schooling or housing in HKG.

you can have commuting contract, but doesn't include the airfare home(its all about the block days off, you make your own travel). ID90 with HKA.. you need to be a monkey...jump from department to department. then a maybe...NO UPGRADE BUSINESS CLASS SEATS for Capt or FO. you need to pay asmall sum for the privilege jumpseating forget it, with other airlines, near none existent. if you every have a chance goto the roadshow and ask about travelling etc, you get the deer in the headlamps look.. HAHA.. THEY want you to work, be PRODUCTIVE for them. ask no question.. Like the Collective in StarTrek..

In all due fairness HKA has cleaned up its act in recent times due to change in management etc.

If your from a legacy carrier then maybe this gig isn't for you but if your on the regional's looking for something more of a challenge then it might be worth looking into.

Is there anyone or anywhere we can find out pay/conditions before wasting each other’s time attending a roadshow?

Specifically interested in DEC A320 positions non-type rated.

A typical month I beleive is about $12K USD. Not bad but if you have children or want a house comparable with a western size one its not really enough.

Travel benefits suck

FO with over 1500 Jet hours get around $9500
CN's can get up to $15k USD
This is to reflect 50 hours of flying per month and is the minimum not including excess flying hours etc.

They also offer swift command opportunities and CCQ onto the widebody fleet within 1 year.

Has HKA been paying their staff lately? That brand new headquarters seems to have ceased construction...

The cranes are still moving and the facade is being installed.
