Items from baggage carousels to check-in desks are going under the hammer as the entire contents of Heathrow Airport's Terminal 1 is sold.

Security scanners from the terminal, which was closed down in 2015, are also being auctioned off.

Other things up for grabs include 15 escalators, 1950s artwork and more than 2,000 security cameras.

Auction firm CA Global Partners hopes to fetch a six-figure sum when the items go under the hammer on April 21.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-43656024

I think your up having a ''wet dream'' mate if you really seriously think that Plymouth Airport is ever going to reopen again regardless of the recent statements!

If only they had one of these in the sale - it would look great on the wall. :O

Correct DRUK! The small screens of today are cheap and useless as you have to stand too close to see them, or use binoculars. Also, with the Flik-Flaks, you knew when there was an update - now you have to glance up every 30 seconds.

If I could programme a Flik-Flak with my diary for each week? :ok:

Very happy memories of watching the large Solari board in Terminal One in the early 1970’s update with its distinctive sound and then, in 1973, displaying the imminent departure of my first Trident One flight to Glasgow for a day trip to Scotland. The return from Edinburgh was on a Vanguard which was scheduled to operate the odd flight on the route. The terminal at what was then Edinburgh Turnhouse was not the comparative palace that now exists.
