Can anyone kindly furnish me with some updated information regarding CEA and their 16 on 14 off A320 Cpt contract.
How bad are the working conditions? What are the pros and cons of the reality of this contract ?

As far as I know, it’s one of the options. Nice company and easygoing. Not really tough on simulators and checks ( other airlines in China are really peaky). 16 on 14 off and 10 days annual leave. Not but for around 170K
Not bad for around 170K. Also some of the bases are nice...Shanghai And Guangzhou

13000$ basic salary
Salary during training 11000$
Travel allowance 250$ month
Acco 250$ month
Overtime 215$ per hour over 55

I am thinking about what kind of accommodation you can pay in Shanghai with only 250$/month :rolleyes:

Yes, I agree with you antpilot what do the current pilots do for accommodations? $250 is not much.

1,500 yuan is not going to get you a lot anywhere in China.

Well, depends on...
If they are like us that we are spending 6 full days in Sha in a FULL month... maybe not, but if you are on the 16 ON 14 OFF; and you get some layovers... maybe you spend 6 nights in SHA, then at 250 RMB every one.... is 1500 rmb and you are gone back home....

Hgh is the same allmost as Shanghai....
Dont know about Chengdu... But must be cheaper

Crowne Plaza near Hongqiao airport gives rate of 600RMB per night for CES crew. You might get slightly cheaper if you look around. You can AirBNB for about 40-50US per night. Reasonable three bed apt (or two bed + box!) Is about 9000RMB per month of you want to share with others. Taxi''s cheap. Food can be as cheap or expensive as you choose.
Very nice culture in company.
