Studying for ATPL Air Law and I find the whole concept daunting, confusing, frustrating! Rules and regulations all over the place. CAR, CASR, CAO, AIP.... no order, repeated text, confusing language, sections referring to Part 61 CASR Manual of Standards which is not in the CASR I purchased...

On top of that, I am unable to tag the CAR,CASR,CAO.. WTF!?!! Am I supposed to remember where each rule is?!!??

can anybody give some tips, advice on how to study for this exam.

AND This PART 61 Manual Of standards, do I need to print this out bring to the exam?

Thanks for any help.

You can take the below in to the exam :

CAR 1988
CASR Part 61
CAO 20-95.2
AIP Book
ERSA complete
AUS PCA
All ERC High and Low and TAC
DAPs East and West

You are expected to know where to find and access information in the above documents

AFT (http://www.aft.com.au)
www.aviationtheory.net.au

have a range of questions for practise

Good Luck

Yes, Thanks ERSA.

I am using the AFT Air Law training book. A couple of the questions refer to the PART 61 Manual of Standards, which I can not find in the CAR, CASR, CAO but it is available online, hence my confusion.

Tagging would be a great help, it was allowed only a few years ago.

Cheers.
