Some years ago, daughter living in Melbourne rang wife at home in Sydney. "Quick, Mum, they're doing a live update on Google Earth, and if you run outside and wave to the satellite I'll be able to see you!"

Why is that lady standing in her dressing gown waving to the sky?

Thanks for that, I just had Mrs exposed standing on the drive waving to the sky. She is not talking to me at the moment.

West Coast, couldn't do that today. Environmental police would have you for toast.

The other day my wife opened the front door in her nightie,
I thought "That's a funny place to have a door"

Great post and story. Not many characters like that around these days, though have to agree with PN comment, however they may have cleared up the debris later.
Kind regards
Mac

Hydrocarbons burning on the floor of a volcanic caldera...global doom ensues.

Reminds me of the fuss made by the enviro-police over hydraulic oil leakage from machines in a coal mine.
Hydrocarbons (100's of litres) leaking onto hydrocarbons (millions of tonnes) that are destined for a blast furnace. Oh, the humanity........

You’re both likely correct, different times, different views on the environment.

The mayor of Beauvais might not get past the next election. She posted up an April fool tweet saying IKEA was to build a store there bringing 4000 jobs. The citizens are not amused.

:ugh:
