View Full Version : Bubble in Europe ?

I've noticed over the last few months a lot of airlines seem to be launching passenger service either as a charter or scheduled. I know Europe's economy is generally in good shape but I'm beginning to wonder if all these new airlines popping up is perhaps indicative that we are well into the bubble phase of the economic cycle and it's just a matter of time before things like supply/demand start to exert themselves and the new carriers end up going pop soon

Thoughts anyone ?

The thing that worries me is the number of aircraft a small number of larger airlines have on order.

We must be getting near the top of the economic cycle, although this cycle is different from previous ones.
Lots of uncertainties, most critical are the prospects of a trade war and the inevitable pressures on the Euro from Italy and elsewhere.

There is definitely a bubble but when it bursts is anybodys guess.

Uk is starting to struggle as circa 500 retail outlets are set to close................ Maplins (200plus) Toyrus (100) Prezzo (100) plus a lot of others who shutting blocks of stores.
