Does anyone have photos of a Shackleton AEW.2 interior please? I need a couple for my forthcoming book. Thanks!

Steve, try the Manchester museum. They agreed to let me in their aircraft though in the event I wasn't able to go.

Have a look on the 8 Sqn Website (and their FB page).

There is also this site, with a link on the RH side if you want to use the photos:

Ex-rigger - I am afraid that the interior of this aircraft has been seriously messed around with and is not representative of an AEW2. (Missing radar scopes etc)

Have a look at... http://www.military-airshows.co.uk/photographs/galll.htm

Register and ask on the Flypast forum as the owners of the Coventry one post in there.

Thanks Wensleydale, I would not know never having worked on them, so posted in good faith, however mute point now as he has what was requested now.

Ex-R - no problem. It looks like some of the boxes in the back are non-standard and there is a hole where one of the scopes should be. I believe that 960 was delivered to Manchester well before the Shackleton ceased operational service, and therefore some of the "rarer" boxes were removed for spares and it looks like some other boxes have been used to fill the holes (just conjecture of course).
