Hi,

I was at RIAT yesterday (brilliant) and noticed that all the Harriers in the hover where smoking from above the starboard front nozzle.

Why?

Engine oil breather, perfectly normal with high RPM ie in the hover.

That's not entirely true! It is in fact, a system to bring the ac in to line with current legislation. It is a Marijuana Inlet Guide Pipe. If you look really close, you might make out the white joint and the glazed look painted over the pilots face. You won't see it on the display jet though 'cos that takes a lorra concentration and therefore requires something a bit stronger.....:eek:
