Hi all,

The current matrix published by the FAA requires, for foreign candidates, a passport and either a driver permit/licence issued by a US state or an ID card issued by a national government entity. Problem is, as far as I'm aware, there is no such thing in the UK (other than emergency services and military IDs, none of which apply to me). So... what else is acceptable?

All advice gratefully received, particularly the experience of anyone from the UK who's recently taken one....

I'm from the UK and almost everyone I know carries a government issued pink plastic card as ID...

For non US citizens, a UK driving license would do?

Alex.

It worked for me. A driving licence is an ID card.

Thank you - driving licence it is, then.
