Here's yet another cock up by airport security. Some bad delays at STN today. Apparently there were only 26 baggage handlers working for Groundstar today as a result of BAA withdrawing all the newly issued IDs over the past few weeks!

What will be next?

I don't know whether newspapers are right to be pulling stunts like this. Is it not advertising the weaknesses to all the terrorist organisations of the world?

Or maybe advertising security weaknesses to the authority!

Here's yet another cock up by airport security.

To read the heading it would indicate that it was the airport security that failed - not so.

This was an employer - Groundstar - and this was published just two days after the DfT sent letter to all in the aviation industry warning of journalists attempting to infiltrate airport security in the runup to Sept 11.

I just hope that Groundstar get their approval withdrawn and the person supposed to be escorting / supervising the journo with a temporary ID has been sacked - he obviously didn't take his responsibility seriously.

Still, I am sure it sold a few extra copies which is all the journos are interested in.:(
