Saw this aircraft at Humberside airport on 16th Feb and thought what a shame. The first production aircraft is just lying there in pieces and surely must be worth preserving, has anyone ever thought about saving it perhaps a candidate for East Fortune. Even though its dismantled it looks as if it would go back together to make a static exhibition.

As you can see a big project but compared to some wrecks its there, Eastern might even have the rest of it or some U/S parts to finish the job, I don't know.

At the risk of being flamed, WHY bother ?

There's already a J41 at Liverpool, and there are surely much worthier
recipients of preservation £££.

Just sayin'..... 'ZG
