View Full Version : Is it worth getting excited?

Hey guys

Ive 2500 hrs CPL/frozen ATPL etc and FI etc

After getting all excited years ago and nothing much happening, I put flying on hold and I went into business.

Ive stayed current and still teach tailwheel and PPL's, but has the market changed?

Can I get excited again and hope to be an airline pilot? or is it just PR spread by training companies to milk more Tarquins and Delila's inheritance.

Ive some funds available for a type rating or whatever but I'm not wearing my trousers back to front and picking up the soap (which was expected in the past) and I'd like some kind of commitment from an employer before I put my hand in my pocket.

Thanks in advance

There never has, and never will be a shortage of low hours non jet potentials FO,

There could be shortages of DEC, examiners on popular jets

Hi guys,
I have nearly the same profile as Embaron. No pilot shortage but the market seems a lot better. What kinds of jobs may we expect with a thousand hours of SEP ?
CS23 ?

thanks for your advices :)
