Hello,

I'm aware that the A320-series has a small black triangle above the windows at certain rows, at which you have the best view over the flaps/slats in case of an issue.
However, I've not been able to find if there's an equivalent triangle, or a seat row considered as "William Shatner's Seat" in the 737NG?
Also, if there is, does anyone have a reference to which rows this is for each specific version (-6,-7,-8,-900)?

Am I the only one who thought this thread would be about an ex Star Trek star having a full and frank exchange of views while travelling in a 737?

No, you’re not! I too was looking forward to some “tired and emotional” exchanges between Starfleet’s finest and some overwrought cabin crew.

Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor, not Flight Attendant.

I wonder if this row is near to the Ion Pod. I'd just be my luck to find out I'm flying with First Officer Finney.

Ahhh, I love those moments when you can geek out, even if it outs you as a trekkie.

On some planes, the seat under the black triangle is referred to as the "Shatner seat," a reference to William Shatner's memorable episode of The Twilight Zone in 1963, "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet."
