Currently looking for a Helicopter training school in the UK, i have a ICAO CPL(H)IR total time of 400 Hours and would like to convert to either EASA CPL or ATLP.

Any help or advise would be appreciated as im currently based in RSA but have the right to work and live in the uk. So would like to see what the future would bring for flying in the UK or any other EASA country.

Regards

With 400 hours , the job market will be very limited to you..

The route would be

14 theory exams - capt.gs (http://www.captonline.com)

Up to 30 hours of flying to meet "The Standard" of flying

An English language test

A flight test.

CPL training -

@ersa

With regards to the IR rating, If i had a 355 or 109 rating already on my ICAO Licence would i have do redo the rating on the EASA licence?

Or would it be carried over?

You would do a reduced type rating at the discretion of the ATO
