I looked up the company on Wikipedia and see that the plane was acquired in 1987. Apparently it was the only 737-200 in its fleet.

Not the first old Boeing to be converted to an eating house. Teheran's Mehrabad airport has B707 ex EP-IRJ as a restaurant.

I flew in this aircraft on a teachers' charter flight from JFK to Manchester on 22 August 1970 in its original Pan Am identity of N416PA. Glad to see it is still being useful.

No, it's a former Saudia B732 which sat on the ground at Bole for about 8 years until it was trucked to its current site and repainted in Ethiopian colours. It never flew for ETH.
