Long shot but here goes...
Hi Guys, I’m a fixed wing and helo pilot but haven’t flown for several years.
I bought my wife an e-bike here in the U.K. so that we can cycle together in the Canary Islands.
I was surprised that it proved impossible to take the e-bike battery with us due to airline regs.
I wondered if there was any way around this?
It weighs 3kg and is about the size of 2 bags of sugar placed end-to-end.
Thanks for any suggestions
:-)

Large lithium batteries are prohibited from passenger airplanes due to IATA Dangerous Goods regulations, NOT airline regulations.

You may have to ship a battery to your destination in advance, or find out if you can buy/borrow/rent one.

We may end up shipping the battery in that case and flying with the rest of the bike,
Thanks
