flight planning

hey everyone
I am a student of CPL in australia, i have recently been informed that for the CPL flight test, we get an hour and a half to plan up the route given and calculate all the details required in the scenario presented to us. I'm a bit concerned as to how we can do so many things in the given time. Any advice on how to speed up the planning process will be greatly valuable. and if there are no ways to speed it up, is it just something that comes with practice?

Ask for the examiners weight when you book the test and have the W&B done in advance, or at least most of the numbers prefilled out. How about getting things like the weather and local notams already prepared and printed before the test starts? Don't know what the Aus cpl test requires but presumably a VFR flight with a diversion, departing from your home field ? So you can prepare perf calcs for the home runway if you need them. Etc.

Omg true, that’s a good idea, that would surely save time, doing take off, landing and weight and balance before hand. Thankyou
