Morning all, anyone know what was behind this landing in AKL last evening ??
Quite a strange track after take off. Dumping fuel perhaps ??

Passenger was quoted as saying major engine and hydraulic problems

Many thanks

Don't you just love the quality reporting:

"the Boeing 777 was required to make a "full emergency landing""

What is a "full emergency landing" exactly? Also shown is a picture of a 787. At least put in SOME effort for goodness sakes.

Probably the opposite to a empty emergency landing.

It's an AEP categorization.
Full Emergency - off field services attend as well as local
Local Standby - Just aerodrome services.

Just your common-or-garden air turnback!
