Hi all,
Just a shot in the dark. We are close to completing conversion training on a JP5A.
We have just discovered we have insufficient oil for further flight.
We urgently need five litres or so of OX38 or Aeroshell 750.
We are based in Inverness.
Can anyone assist please?

When on the N sea a good few years ago now aeroshell 750 was fairly common with the N Sea helicopter operators, could give them a try in ABZ.

Re helo's - try the Coastguard S92 or Helimed, both which live at Dalcross. Or, try PDG Helecopters in the industrial estate behind the airport.

Thanks for the leads. We had already tried locally. No joy. Had a strong lead at Lossie, but due to modern liability laws they couldn’t release any.
Today’s trip was scrubbed but we have some arriving tomorrow via courier. We hope.
Thanks again.

Not unlike early models of the Gem...

Ahhh..... remember the Army poster of the Lynx that had a cut down oil can clipped to the exhaust to catch it draining out..... And they thought that was a good idea for an advert!

Sometimes it would stay in. Sometimes it would stay in in-flight. Other days it would fall out of the back as fast as you could pump it into the tank. We ended-up carrying a loaded Risbridger on every trip.
