Acer android

I have an Acer android tablet and the darn thing is forever freezing. Messages such as
'google, chrome, home , not responding. If I press 'wait,' it invariably starts up but not for long. Any suggestions as to the cause? I'm thinking of getting a Samsung if there is no solution.

I have googled it, a couple of times and as you say there are loads of threads but as far as I can see no definitive solution. It appears to be a common problem so maybe it's the product itself that is at fault.
