Which one of you `fine gentlemen' was at the pointy-end of the VC-10 departing Manchester last Sunday. Fine sight and sound - soon to be no more? Maybe Beagle can tell. :)
Nice to see a real aeroplane once in awhile!

If you're a fan of the mighty VC10 get your @rse down to Brize. When I flew out earlier this week there were 4 on the 'about to go somewhere interesting' pan and 5 on the 'too tired and bent to mend' pan on the far side of the airfield. There were also 4 or so Tristars and a couple of C17s. It seems the stackers at Brize have given the taskers lessons in 'you can't have that sir somebody else might want it'.

And why can't I ever get a decent curry as a pax anyway; the crew live on the bloody things!!

PFR - now and again the ancient Vickers Funbus lands at a civil aerodrome to drop off military pax and to squat in a puddle of old engine oil, leaked fuel, Skydrol etc like a naughty puppy....before doing its characteristically quiet take-off!
