Shocked to see on the news this morning modern day troops abroad having to make a Christmas tree from tyres, surely someone could of sent a few across!

Bruggen QRA Christmas, budget allocated for us to " decorate " we decided the budget be better spent on DVD's and erm "treats"... stuff any decorating, Staish turns up with senior staff to wish us Happy Christmas on Xmas day and disgusted that the only decoration we really had was a newspaper Christmass Tree similar to the ones you used to make at school that one of the guys made up in a moment of boredom... Winco despatched to the Officers Mess to bring over decorations and more goodies for us and permanent QRA staff bollocked for not providing a budget to decorate, who took it on the chin as he knew what we had planned... Which we had chosen to eat and erm drink :p

Similar, newspaper major push to look after the troops at Christmas in Ireland, public donations were exceptional and there was a glut of cash for each unit, load of vids and machine bought, surplus funds by unanimous decision blown on barrels of beer and a festive piss up ensued.
