Hi all,

I am looking into training CPL + IR + ME in Thailand at Sriracha Aviation, near Bangkok. I am originally from the UK, but currently live in Macau, China. I would eventually like to move back to the UK and be based there for work with an airline.

Aside from the cost advantages, training in Thailand would be a good option for me because I already live in Asia, and I have a business in Macau which would benefit from me being located in Asia for the next couple of years while training.

I have already checked, and they do accept international students at Sriracha Aviation. I know that I would need to cover costs of the ATPL later on, and likely a type-rating, depending on what airline I ultimately join.

Aside from the above, are there any significant disadvantages to training somewhere like Thailand? Or basically training anywhere apart from where you'd eventually like to be based?

Finally, has anyone trained with Sriracha Aviation, and do you have any feedback?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hey,

I was just wondering if you actually went with this option in the end? Looks like a good School.
